Hi beautiful,
Hi Aimee,
Today, the topic of meeting guys who aren't what you want for yourself was on my heart.
I was watching a show (Desperate Housewives haha!) and one character was facing the dating scene after having been in a longggg relationship. She went to a bar and found a bunch of guys who were NOT what she wanted.
Part of the issue was LOCATION. She never went out to bars, so why would the man who's a match for her be at a bar?
My match was busy with work or taking care of his dog or spending time with family... so I found him through online dating. That and being in the same real-life social circle are two of the best ways to date currently.
Maybe upping your standards is the remedy. I had a period of time in dating that I simply wanted to see what was out there. I went on the date if they seemed alright.
There were a lot of great guys, some weird ones, all not quite for me. This approach was useful for me to understand dating but dating with intention looked like getting pickier about who made it to the "date" phase.
And as tough as it is to hear, sometimes it takes time to find the right one. Don't lose hope and take breaks if you need them.
xoxo,
Aimeelotus
